What is Botox?

Botox injections use a toxin called onobotulinumtoxinA to temporarily paralyse a muscle. The prevention of muscle contraction means that the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are minimised. Botox is widely used for cosmetic as well as medicinal purposes.

Procedure time:

Botox treatment takes 15-20 minutes to complete depending on the number of areas being treated.

Side effects:

Pain and swelling at the site of injection
Small lumps at the site of injection
Redness at the site of injection
Headaches
Eye dryness or excessive tearing
